How did you start playing rugby
Four whole months into life without a team sport, I missed the atmosphere and
joined the Chico State rugby team. I played soccer through high school and was
considering trying field hockey my freshman year of college but thought of rugby when I sat with a
friend who came to dinner straight from rugby practice. I invited myself to join her
for the next practice and didn’t miss another one for the remainder of my college
career.

What do you like about playing your position?
I get to play the game from a wider perspective than most players. I enjoy scheming
with 8 and 10 during the match and being in charge of the game flow. I get to be
myself and play to my strengths as a halfback.

What is best about being a USA Pool player?
I love hearing the national anthem and knowing that I represent something much
larger than myself. I love playing with girls who work so hard and challenging not
only the best players in the country but the best in the world.
